Saluting Sandi Gorman: T/E’s most impactful organizer. Newly retired, she’ll take a curtain call when T&E Care – the nonprofit she founded and led for 20 years – honors her at its Sept. 20 fundraiser.

For Sandi Gorman, charity has always begun at home.

Scratch that – near home.

With a servant’s heart, a teacher’s dedication and a leader’s vision, she turned a simple idea – local families helping local families – into a crackerjack nonprofit that has touched thousands.

As impactful as it’s been, T&E Care was but a capstone to more than four decades of dogged, unpaid service to her community.

Step aside, guys.

Powered mostly by women, Malvern is poised for a mini-renaissance.

King Street has new merchants, the borough’s biggest boosters have joined forces, and everyone – shoppers and shopkeepers – seems bullish about Malvern’s singular, small-town charms.

After a string of hearings sometimes so raucous with foot stomping and chanting that officials asked police to stand sentry, Easttown’s zoning board has – drum roll – ruled on Berwyn Square.

Both sides claim partial victory – although, arguably, the bigger win went to the developers.

But this one’s far from over.

The swankest dining destination this side of Center City – Eddie V’s Prime Seafood – just dropped anchor in front of the King of Prussia Mall.

Everything at Eddie’s oozes opulence: the white-coated waiters, the show-stopping chandelier, the caviar tastings, the oyster-and-champagne pairings, the walk-through glass wine cellar.

Not for nothin’ is “Living it up” the chain’s motto.

From Devon Manor to The Royal Devon?

Could be.

Developer Brian O’Neill confirms that he’s now the proud owner of the large and long-in-the-tooth nursing home/rehab complex on Lancaster Ave.

Residents and patients are being relocated, 124 staffers are looking for new jobs, and Devon Manor goes dark next month.

This is prime real estate, folks – 8.6 acres with lots of frontage on Route 30 and a deep lot. And just a skip and a jump from the Devon train station.

So what will O’Neill do with it?
