Enoteca Tredici was monster hit when it debuted in Bryn Mawr Village in 2017. It closed in 2021 due to financial problems and the pandemic. It was replaced by Fiore Rosso, which had ties to Marc Vetri, then was rebranded Il Fiore in 2024. Il Fiore closed at the start of 2026.
It won’t be Enoteca Tredici reincarnated but fans of that dearly departed spot should raise a glass to this news: an offshoot of always bustling Alessandro’s Wood Fired Italian & Bar is coming to the ill-fated Il Fiore in Bryn Mawr Village.
This will be a third location for chef-owner Alessandro Fiorello (below), who’s just 28 and still works the kitchens at his restaurant on North Wayne Ave. and the pizzeria he recently opened in West Chester.

Details for Bryn Mawr are TBD but “Alessandro’s” will figure in the name, according to Georgio Topalidis, general manager of Alessandro’s Wood Fired Italian & Bar in Wayne.
A somewhat more “high end” spot is planned for Bryn Mawr, Topalidis tells SAVVY, likely with a raw bar and a broader steak selection to take advantage of the dry-aging capabilities of Il Fiore.

Alessandro’s on North Wayne Ave. has a rustic-industrial feel. The new Bryn Mawr location will be somewhat more upscale.
As for the décor – a turnoff to many at Il Fiore – expect a warming trend, he says.
“We haven’t had the designers in yet but this is Alessandro’s so there will be warm hospitality vibes. That’s his signature.”
After losing once buzzy Enoteca Tredici and watching Fiore Rosso and then Il Fiore limp along, the owner of Bryn Mawr Village is ebullient.
“We are very excited to have a restaurant that appeals to so many of our neighbors, has a lively bar scene, and is priced such that people can visit on a regular basis,” Paul Aschkenasy tells SAVVY.
The newest Alessandro’s could open as early as April. The third restaurant in the space and young Fiorello’s third venture, here’s hoping it’s a charm.
