Calling all book clubs: the author of The Alice Network, The Rose Code and The Diamond Eye is coming to Main Line.
Historical fiction writer Kate Quinn will appear – in conversation with 6ABC’s Jessica Kartalija – at the Jane Win jewelry showroom in Wayne at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 24.
But better hurry: admission is limited to 60. Register here.
The event is part of an all-day celebration of Jane Win’s new collaboration with the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy.
“The Foundation is allied with so many fabulous authors and we wanted to magnify that message of literacy and our love of reading by hosting a very fun author at our annual spring showroom event,” Jane Win founder Jane Winchester Paradis tells SAVVY.
After the Q and A with Kartaljia, Quinn will take audience questions and sign books.
Attendees are invited to stick around to shop Jane Win’s new, limited-edition BLOOM collection and a trunk show by dress designer Sheridan French. Ten percent of that day’s showroom sales will benefit Bush’s nonprofit which provides resources and research to help families build brighter futures through literacy.
The BLOOM partnership features four pieces – two coins and two pendants – inspired by Barbara Bush’s passion for literacy and her favorite flower, the peony.

The latest entries in Jane Win’s collection of meaningful coins and pendants ($298 – $328) celebrates Barbara Bush’s commitment to literacy in her centennial year. 20 percent of sales will be donated to her namesake foundation which supports nationwide family literacy programs.
Jane Win’s connection to the former First Lady comes via her granddaughter, Jenna Bush Hager (below), who frequently wears Jane Win’s Full Heart and Love Clover pendants on the TODAY Show. Paradis says she was “blown away to see her wearing Jane Win nearly every day.”
“My grandmother believed in the power of small, meaningful things to make a big impact – whether it was visiting a friend who needed a boost or teaching a child to read,” says Jenna Hager Bush. “Jane Win’s BLOOM collection is a tribute not just to her style but to the legacy of love, strength and family she cherished. I know she would be proud to see her story celebrated in such a special way, especially as we honor her 100th birthday.”
Barbara Bush, who passed seven years ago this Thursday, April 17, would have turned 100 on June 8.
Bush’s granddaughter is one of a slew of bold-face names spotted in Jane Win since Paradis left Lilly Pulitzer to create her jewelry company in late 2017. Other fans of the Wayne-based brand include Jennifer Hudson, Kaitlin Collins, Selma Blair, Debra Messing and Giada DeLaurentiis.
“Jane Win X Barbara Bush Foundation for Literacy Hosts Kate Quinn” will be held Thursday, April 24 at 10 a.m. at the Jane Win Showroom, 55 West. Ave. Wayne. by reservation only. Open showroom shopping and Sheridan French trunk show follows from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (no RSVP required.)
