Villanova’s Azie on Main will become offices. Huh? (UPDATED)

August 22, 2024 by Caroline O'Halloran

Sayonara, Azie on Main.

After a 15-year run, the Asian fusion favorite will close Sept. 22. The restaurant’s landlord – The Villanova Center – is converting the space to offices.

Surprised? Us too. When’s the last time you heard about an office shortage? With so many folks still working at least part of the week at home, don’t we have too many offices ’round here? Heck, over in T/E school district, a mostly vacant office building is becoming an elementary school.

Meanwhile, Azie owner Win Hospitality has been busy this summer converting the old Margaret Kuo’s in Wayne into Maison Lotus, a French/Vietnamese mashup, due to open next year.

Win also owns and operates nearby Blue Elephants on North Wayne Ave. and Coatesville, Mikaido Thai Pepper in Ardmore, Teikoku in Newtown Square and the original Azie in Media.
